Is photography permitted during the tour?
For the most part, photography is permitted during this tour. The only place where photography is not allowed is inside the Accademia Gallery.
Is there a dress code for this tour?
Entry into some churches requires knees and shoulders to be covered for both men and women. We also recommend wearing comfortable footwear.
Is the tour available in other languages, or can I only book it in English?
Possibly, but only with a private tour. This would depend on the group size and the language in question (as our guides may not be able to speak the language you require). If you would like to organise a private tour in a language other than English, please contact our Customer Service team via our Contact Form with the necessary details. Our team will reply to your query with and answer within 24 hours.
Is there a break during the tour, do we receive refreshments? If so, is this service complimentary?
During this tour, we have a short break where a homemade gelato (ice cream) is provided to all the clients as a complimentary service.
I have a small child, can I bring a stroller and food on the tour with me?
A small amount of food for a child may be admitted into the Accademia Gallery and a small stroller is acceptable to bring on the tour also.
Can you pick us up at the port and bring us to the tour meeting point?
Currently this service is unavailable. There are trains and busses one can take to make it to the meeting point of their tour on time.
We will be arriving too late for the morning tour. Do you have any afternoon tours?
From April 1, 2010, The Uffizi Gallery tour does not run in the mornings -- just in the afternoon. As such, if one cannot be in Florence in time for a morning tour, they have the possibility of booking the Uffizi Gallery tour for the afternoon. Private tours may also be arranged for the afternoon by contacting us directly using our Contact Form
How will I recognize my guide when I arrive at the meeting point?
Your guide will have a sign saying ‘Dark Rome’ and ‘My Florence Tour’. They will be at the meeting point well before the actual meeting time and will make themselves seen.
Can we do both tours ('Best of Florence' and 'Uffizi Gallery') in one day?
Our 'Florence Full Day' tour is designed to incorporate both our Florence tours. If you book our 'Florence in One Day' tour, you will do the 'Best of Florence' tour in the morning and the 'Uffizi Gallery' tour in the afternoon.
Can we do the tour at a time other than the one specified on your website?
Only in a 'private tour' can we alter tour times to those requested by a client. On a group tour we cannot do so. If you would like to arrange a private tour, please contact us via our Contact Form
Can we organise a private tour on a Monday?
Unfortunately no, as both the Accademia and Uffizi Galleries are closed on Monday's.
Why can’t I book a tour in the month of February?
The Florence tours are seasonal and only run from 'April 1st' to 'December 31st'. For this reason, you will not be able to book any of our Florence tours between January and March.

This tour is conducted in two parts. One part takes place in the morning and the other in the afternoon. If one were to miss the morning segment of this tour, they unfortunately would not be able to take it in the afternoon and will possibly have to re-book this part of the tour for another day (and for a minimal fee).

Unfortunately no food or drink is allowed within the Uffizi Gallery. However, this tour is wheel-chair friendly and as such it is fine to bring a stroller with you. The Uffizi Gallery also offers a free wheel-chair service, where one can borrow a wheel-chair from the Gallery for the duration of the tour.
